This half term our Learning Challenge question will be Why are Humans not like Tigers? Our main curriculum focus will be Science, where we will be finding out about humans and animals and discussing similarities and differences. We will also be using the correct vocabulary to name human and animal body parts, exploring senses, finding out about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and thinking about why some animals look the way they do.
We will be hoping to arrange a school trip to enhance our learning in this topic.
In English we will be focusing on developing our writing skills through texts such as Dear Zoo and The Tiger who came to Tea.
In Maths we will be consolidating our addition and subtraction strategies and learning how to tell the time to at least o'clock and half past and exploring capacity including ml and l.
Homework this half term are phonics packs, in preparation for the phonics screening check in June. These were given out at Parent's Evening.
Please take a look at our Medium Term Planning, or speak to Mrs Greer or Mrs Ashley, for more detailed information about our learning.
