Miss Brough

Wednesday 20th May

Dear Children,

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine at home.  It is such a lovely day!  I’ve got my sun cream and sun hat to help me keep safe in the sunshine.  Have fun playing and learning in the sunshine.

Have you completed some of our activities this week?  You can get even better at counting, with some of our Maths activities.  There are more Space stories to share together and lots of Space activities to keep learning about Space too.

It is great to see your messages and pictures of the fun activities you have been doing at home.  I bet you have learnt lots working with your grown-ups.  You will be growing, learning and developing new skills all the time.  Enjoy your time at home.  I miss you all very much!

Take care.  See you soon.

                                        Love,

                                                 Miss Brough xx

Wednesday 13th May

Dear Children,

I hope you are all still keeping busy and enjoying fun activities at home.  It was lovely to hear what you have all been up to and I was so impressed with the ways you are learning at home.  Have you been listening to some stories about ‘Space’ and talking about them?  You could do this and write some super sentences about them.  I would love to see your fantastic pictures too!

You can stay active with ‘Joe Wicks’ and ‘Cosmic Kids Yoga’ workouts to keep you busy with exercise.  I look forward to hearing all about what else you have been doing and remember to stay in touch.  I am missing you all very much.

See you soon.

                      Love,

                               Miss Brough xxx

Wednesday 6th May

Dear Children,

I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine at home!  We have been busy learning to sing and sign the ‘I Can Sing a Rainbow’ song.  You can see how to do this on the School ‘Twitter’ page today.  Keep playing and having fun, with lots of practical activities.  Enjoy sharing stories and games, working together and taking turns.

Keep up the fantastic work, you are doing a great job!  Your grown-ups are so proud of you and we are too.  Draw pictures of what you have enjoyed doing at home and write a sentence about it.  I would love to see what you are all up to!
Keep smiling and looking after each other.  I am sure you will!

Take care and speak to you soon.

Love Miss Brough xx

Wednesday 29th April

Dear Children,

I hope you are all keeping up the great work, staying at home and being our Superheroes.  I bet you are all doing a super job!  I am missing you all very much.  Mrs Lockett has asked me to telephone you next week, so I can’t wait to hear what you have been up to!  It will be lovely to talk to you to find out.

Keep busy and enjoy the activities, developing your skills to help you with your learning.  Ask your grown-ups to find the ‘Wake Up Shake Up’ song we often sing in the morning, to get us moving and motivated.  It is on the ‘Out of the Ark at home’ on our home learning page, along with some other fantastic songs to sing.  There is one called ‘The Planets’, to help you name them all, and one about being a ‘Minibeast’, which you have learnt lots about at school and home.

Take care and speak to you soon.

                                                    Love,

                                                             Miss Brough xxx

Thursday 23rd April

Dear Children,

I hope you are all still keeping busy and enjoying the sunshine.  I hope you all had a lovely Easter break.  Have you had a look at some of the new activities we have suggested on our Website?  There are lots to keep you busy and remember you can have lots of playtime too!

There are so many new things you can find out about and make.  Share stories and talk about the characters and settings in the stories.  Keep up the good work Stay at Home Superheroes!  Have fun and keep safe.

I am missing you and your smiles very much.

Take care.

Tuesday 14th April

Dear Children,

I hope you are all keeping busy and enjoying the sunshine.  I am sure you are being wonderful at home and taking care of each other.  You could have a go at some ‘Cosmic Kids Yoga’, on YouTube, to exercise and relax at the same time.  There are lots of different ones to choose from!

Have you made a beautiful rainbow to display at home?  We can all do this to show hope and our support to all the key workers helping people.  We know all about the special jobs that people do, after learning all about ‘People who help us’, earlier in the Reception year.  A bright and beautiful rainbow that you have created will make everyone smile!

I am missing you all very much.  See you soon.

Wednesday 1st April

Dear Children,

I hope you are all good and being super at home.  Be kind, gentle and help your grown-ups.  I am missing you all very much.  I miss your smiley faces and the funny things you say the most.  Keep busy, playing and learning to develop your skills.  Show your grown-ups the amazing learning behaviours you have learnt at school.  ‘Team Work Tina’ will be proud of you working together!

Remember you can keep doing the daily ‘Joe Wicks’ PE session and the suggested phonics and reading activities.  Draw me some pictures, which you can then label or write a sentence about. Enjoy sharing lots of stories and games together.

Take care,

Love, Miss Brough xx

Wednesday 25th March

Dear Children,

I hope you are all having lots of fun in the sunshine and looking after each other at home.  Keep busy with all the activities we have suggested and keep learning and finding out more. I can't wait to hear all about it!  We would have been completing activities based around the ‘Superworm’ story, by the author Julia Donaldson, this week.  You could ask you grown-ups to find this story on YouTube and you could share it together.  Next week, we would be reflecting on all we had learnt about Minibeasts and Lifecycles this half-term. You could have fun making a booklet about the Minibeast facts you have learnt.  Tell your grown-ups about the shapes you have learnt and enjoy constructing with bricks or other 3D shapes you can find in your home.  I hope you and your little bear are having fun too!

Take care, Miss Brough :) x
