Wider school re-opening - Returning to school during the COVID-19 pandemic
Dear parents and carers,
We understand that returning your child to school whilst the COVID-19 pandemic is still present in our country is a very difficult decision for you to make.
At the present time we are only able to offer full-time places in school for children of key-workers, children who are classed as vulnerable and children in Reception.
If you fall into one of the groups mentioned, you may find some of the documentation on this page helpful in making your decision.
Please remember that you are not legally obligated to send your child to school during this time and there are currently no penalties for non-attendance.
Every family should make their decision based on what is right for their child and should not feel guilty for the choice that they make either way.
These are unprecedented times for all of us and we are all having to make difficult decisions in good faith.
Please also remember that the staff in school will do all they can to make school an enjoyable place for the children to return to, but cannot change arrangements or be flexible with safety protocols so please try to avoid asking us to accommodate individual requests unless it is an emergency.
