I have been advised by the Local Authority that the school is required to provide a polling station for the EU Referendum on 23rd June 2016. At present I am attempting to accommodate this without a school closure, however due to the Returning Officer for Tameside requiring the use of a large space in school as a polling station there may be an unavoidable need to close.
Please be aware that historically we have used INSET days to provide a polling station and agreed the same closure days with the Junior School, however this may or may not be the case for this specific situation.
I will update you with further information as soon as it is available.
