At Stalyhill Infant School we have always believed in the power and importance of using play to support and develop children's learning and we use play as part of our daily practice across all year groups.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become increasingly more apparent that children of all ages need play to be the central cog in their journey to academic, emotional and social recovery.

This has led to the staff of Stalyhill Infant School developing our own 'Rationale for Play', in which we outline why and how we are committed to ensuring that play retains a central role in the offer for children at our school.
