We have been notified that Microsoft has blocked the Tameside MBC domain from their system.

This means that parents using Hotmail/live/outlook email addresses will encounter problems with the Tameside online applications system.

They won’t receive their confirmation email when they register or submit their applications for new reception, new year 3 and new year 7 and will be prevented from completing the application.

Parents using these email providers are asked to set up an alternative account using another provider (Gmail for example).

We have taken steps to address this problem with Microsoft but it is at present unclear if / when this will be resolved.

    Kind regards

    School Office

  • Reminders of our agreed drop-off and collection protocols at school

    Mon 21 Sep 2020

    Monday 21st September 2020

    Dear parents and carers,

Due to the recent rise in COVID cases in Tameside and the likelihood of a second spike of the virus nationally, I am writing to you today with some reminders of our agreed drop-off and collection protocols at school.

It is imperative that we stick as closely to these protocols as possible in order to keep our year group bubbles open and our whole school community safe.

    Drop off and collection reminders

    • Parents and carers should aim to be on the school premises within the 15-minute window of time allocated to your child’s year group - no earlier or later.

    Arrival at school

    8.45 - 9.00am – Year 2 door

    Year 1 bubble

    9.00 - 9.15am – Year 1 door

    Reception bubble

    • Parents and children should walk to and from school where possible and you should avoid using public transport if you are able to.
    • Only one parent should attend school with your child each day.
    • If older and younger siblings can be safely left at home with the other parent, they should be. If siblings are brought onto the school premises, they should remain with you and be closely supervised.
    • Once you have dropped off/collected your child, please leave the school premises as soon as possible.
    • Please do not remain on the playground chatting to other parents, keep your child with you and don’t allow them on to the adventure play equipment or up on the forest school hill.
    • Please do not wait around on the playground to chat with parents in other year groups, unless you are specifically picking a child up yourself from that year group.
    • Please do not congregate at the school gates either before or after bringing your child to school.
    • Please don’t attempt to speak directly to school staff at morning arrival or afternoon collection. If you have a query or concern that you wish to raise with a member of staff you should email or telephone the school or email the teacher directly.
    • If you find yourself waiting on the playground for any length of time, please leave a 2m distance between yourself and other parents.
    • Please follow the one-way system in school - On arrival at school, parents should take the path at the side of Reception onto the playground, walking to their year group door to drop off their child. Once they have dropped off their child, parents should then exit the playground via the far gate that runs alongside year 2 and walk along the carpark path back to the pedestrian exit – This route forms a full circle and should then be repeated at collection time.

Please can I once again reiterate that none of these measures have been put in place to inconvenience parents, we are simply trying to do everything we can to stop the virus spreading un-checked throughout our school community. I want to thank you all for your patience and understanding with these and all the other measures we have implemented at school. It is only by working together that we can reduce our risk.

    Many thanks

    Mrs L. Lockett
